Melania Trump May Show Her Face After Questionable Month-Long Absence

First Lady Melania Trump is set to appear at a Gold Star families event after a month-long absence from her Washington duties. FLOTUS took a 21-day break from the hustle and bustle of D.C. following a kidney surgery that typically requires a weeks rest.

Melania's Communication's Director Stephanie Grisham said FLOTUS completed an "embolization procedure to treat a benign kidney condition. The procedure was successful, and there were no complications."

The press has certainly taken advantage of Trump's absence by spreading rumors that FLOTUS has abandoned the White House altogether. Unfortunately for Melania, the Gold Star event is closed to the press which will likely cause more speculation about her privacy in Washington.

During her absence, the President informed the press that his wife was "feeling great." Furthermore, East Wing spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham confirmed that the First Lady has been involved in weekly meetings and is currently working on her plans for the White House 4th of July bash.

Despite staying away from cameras this week, Melania is reaching out to the world in her own way. FLOTUS had this to say on twitter.

Melania's Twitter presence is nothing compared to her husband's prolific profile. Fans of the First Lady are definitely her words seriously and ignoring the criticisms of the press. Of course, her tweet didn't settle the busy gossip around D.C. NBC News noted that some are questioning if FLOTUS wrote the tweet because it "mirrored the president's rhetorical tics."

No one will be able to truly understand Melania's condition until she's spotted with her husband. For now, it'd be nice if both liberal and conservative media could give the First Lady a break. Afterall, the 48-yr-old mother did just undergo surgery. Can't we let her recover in peace?
