He Says No To NATO And Yes To A Better Economy

Donald Trump wants to put money back in the pockets of every American citizen and he feels that cutting NATO costs may help achieve his goal.

Mr. Trump is the first Presidential candidate to question the large amounts of money that America pours into protecting European territories. “NATO is costing us a fortune,” Trump told the Washington Post.

The GOP front-runner rightly pointed out that America’s allies aren’t doing anything to help with situations in places like Ukraine or South Korea.

"We’re constantly sending our ships, sending our planes, doing our war games – we’re reimbursed a fraction of what this is all costing.”

This view further backs Mr. Trump’s point that the country should be focusing on rebuilding domestic infrastructure rather than policing the world.

Trump elaborated on his view while speaking with CNN stating that he will be very “cognizant” of issues around the globe. However, he will be concentrating on the American people first and foreign issues that directly affect United States citizens.
